Different Models and Colors of Asphalt Shingles
Our asphalt shingle suppliers are as follows:
BP Asphalt Shingles : The shingles from this manufacturer provide maximum protection against the weather, complete waterproofing against rain, and resistance to detachment by wind thanks to WEATHER-TITE technology. This technology consists of 2 ultra-adhesive self-adhesive strips placed under each shingle, which securely fasten them in place (in addition to the nails that hold them). These shingles are covered by a warranty against winds blowing up to 180 km/h. The Dakota model even provides protection against winds blowing up to 200 km/h (with special installation).
BP's range of 3-tab asphalt shingles, with a classic look, offers great performance and exceptional durability. High-end architectural models come in a rich range of current colors. Manoir and Mystique 42 laminated shingles stand out for their appearance resembling carved slate, while Vangard 42 IR laminated shingles are 42 inches wide and meet the Class 4 UL2218 impact resistance standard.
BP has also designed Weathertex and Gripgard waterproofing membranes, which protect against ice buildup with freeze-thaw cycles. This repeated accumulation can cause costly damage to the eaves.
High-performance polypropylene protective underlayments (BP PRODECK, Suredeck, BP Deckgard, as well as lined asphalt felts BP) are installed under the shingles over the entire roof surface, providing additional protection against water infiltration.
IKO Asphalt Shingles : The shingles from this manufacturer are available in different colors and styles. The premium Designer collection mimics the appearance of slate or cedar shingles, without the associated cost and maintenance. Each asphalt shingle in this collection is precisely cut. Looking great, Designer models resist wind, water infiltration, ice, and hail. They are thus very durable.
The architectural collection offers a dimensional depth effect. The Armourshake model recreates the rustic appearance of traditional split shingles while being Class A fire rated. Additionally, thanks to IKO's color technology, this model is available in a wide range of current shades. These resilient asphalt shingles maintain their new appearance for years, without requiring maintenance.
The High-Performance collection asphalt shingle models feature a wide exposure (portion not covered by the upper shingle), high-definition profile, and thickness giving a dimensional effect. These models have a sturdy, tear-resistant reinforcement strip that provides a nailing zone 40% wider than architectural shingles. During strong winds, the shingles do not move a millimeter.
The 3-tab shingles from the traditional collection offer great resistance to deterioration and weathering. They are an affordable roofing option, combining quality and durability. Marathon Plus AR model shingles resist weathering thanks to a durable fiberglass reinforcement. Their granule surface prevents the appearance of blue algae, allowing the shingles to retain their sumptuous appearance for many years.
